Attention Briers North Residents:
We have over 3000 people coming through our neighborhood on Halloween each year. This requires participation from our neighbors to make it a safe and enjoyable event for all. The reality is, if we do not get adequate participation from neighbors like you, we will have to cancel this decades long tradition.
We have a committee that hires police, coordinates with Dunwoody North to set up parking signs, works with the church and visitors to secure enough in donations to pay the police officers, organizes the placement of Halloween signs and barricades at the neighborhood entrance, and recruits volunteers to patrol the neighborhood.
Street Patrol
Spend just 45 minutes of your time patrolling the entrance or a small section of the neighborhood on Halloween evening to help provide safety and security. RSVP to pick one of 35 time slots across three locations or one of the 4 additional sweeper slots:
- BN Entrance (15 slots)
- Briers North Drive- middle (8 slots)
- BND cul-de-sac and Brierwood Place (8 slots)
- Sweeper (4 slots)
For your maximum convenience, pick a slot nearest your home. However, the entrance needs the largest team and will need to draw on many homes, not just the homes near the entrance.
Setup and Tear Down
RSVP to select one of these options:
- Setup signs and the netting at the front entrance the week before Halloween. Remove the evening after Halloween (3 slots).
- On Halloween night, setup and remove donation buckets, barricades, and lighting (4 slots).
With 40+ slots to fill, the list of volunteer options is lengthy. Please click "Register" and scroll down to see all your options. Register yourself, a family member, or a guest for the slot of your choice.
